Thanks for Caring and Sharing

The following is a thank you letter sent to Pam Juris, volunteer coordinator for CitySERVE 2009, praising the work of just one of the many groups who helped to make CitySERVE a success.

Pam,

Our third annual City Serve event at Pine Tree Vistas was once again a complete success. Your young adults worked hard, pulling weeds, shaping our flower beds and planting more than 100 flowers and plants around our building. Your adult supervision was once again excellent, led by Joel Gesch. The weather was beautiful and the rain finally stayed away.

We are already looking forward to the first Saturday in May, 2010. Your efforts each year give us a head start and make it easier for us to keep our landscape looking beautiful for out tenants and community.

Thanks for Caring and Sharing.

Sincerely,

Russ Croyle

CitySERVE 2009

CitySERVE 2009 is just around the corner!  BHITC’s annual one-day service event will be held on May 2nd and will send more than 450 people out into the city to do God’s work in churches, schools, and social agencies.

Last year around 450 participants worked on projects at over 30 sites around the city.  Check out the photos below to see the great work participants did last year, and to get an idea for what you could be doing on May 2nd.
