We Can’t Do it on Our Own

Written by Nadia Abuamsha, Arabic Missionary

It’s hard for us to understand as humans that we really can’t do it all on our own.

We forget that only God can plan it, know it, do it, and do it the right way at the right time.

I’m one of those that sometimes forgets this, I’ll admit. I always pray before starting, but I think that there must be something wrong when it doesn’t happen within the next half hour.

I’m sure that you are reading this right now and laughing, but it’s true.

One of the ladies that I’m sharing the good news with always seemed like many of the others.  She wanted to know more but she wasn’t quite ready yet; she was still waiting to find out more.  Just recently, this changed.  Finally she was on fire to know more, and was courageous enough to step forward and ask me to talk in private, where no one could hear us or tell what we were talking about.

A few days after, we arranged to meet at her house after her husband left and we talked for three hours, but it felt like it was only ten minutes.  The great thing is that she got things straight, all the doubts and confusions she had were cleared up.  She told me how now she’s more at peace knowing the truth–that she has the assurance of going to heaven through believing in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

She proudly told me that she has the right to make her own choice, that no one has the right to force her into doing or believing what they want her to.

Thank you, Lord, for showing her the truth and bringing her to You–in the right way and at the right time.
